An ancient potin/copper-alloy coin of the Pallavas of Kanchipuram, attributed to the reign of Mahendravarman I (c. 580–630 CE).
The obverse carries the characteristic Pallava bull, one of the principal motifs used on Pallava coinage. The reverse displays a lotus or floral device within a radiating circular design, a distinctive type documented for coins attributed to Mahendravarman I.
The coin retains good portions of both designs despite circulation wear, with an attractive dark patina developed over many centuries.
